I came onboard after being on the USS Arlington in the South China Sea for a year. My brother Rick Farabaugh was onboard already and I chose to transfer there. I immediately became the Electronics department yeoman for LCDR Wynn and Rick eventually became a DS1 in DS (?) division. I played on the ship's basketball team and remember playing in games in Athens and in a town outside of Barcelona where we played in the city arena in front of hundreds of townspeople. They beat us rather easily and after the game took us to their facility and served us a multi-course Spanish dinner and all of these people were not only very hospitable, but bery pro USA! Anybody remember?
